Nottingham BID is very proud of the fact that we have the highest uptake of venues nationally taking part in the scheme and this directly feeds into our Purple Flag Accreditation for the city. Every venue that strives to become accredited is doing its part to help make Nottingham one of the best and safest night-time economies. Just a reminder that any business which serves alcohol can take part!

Silver – Venues that book and complete their Best Bar None assessments between 2 April and 30 April 2023 will automatically be entered into our prize draw to win £500 for team-building activities.
Bronze – Best Bar None assessments booked and completed between 1 May and 3 June 2023 will automatically be entered into our prize draw to win £250 for team-building activities.
The lucky winners in each category will be drawn and announced at our award ceremony in October.
Just a quick reminder that the assessments will take approximately 1.5 hours and need to be with the Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS) or a nominee in their place, please bear this in mind when booking your assessment.
Best Bar None Awards Celebration
We're planning a night of celebration to acknowledge and celebrate venues that receive the accreditation. This year we are awarding winner, runner-up, and highly commended awards in each category this year so that even more venues will be recognised.
To be part of the awards ceremony, your venue needs to be accredited by 30 June 2023.
You can still apply for Best Bar None accreditation after 30 June 2023, but you will not be entered into any of the award categories or have any further chances to win prizes for your team.
This deadline is set to enable us to complete mystery visit experiences with venues and to liaise with licensing to ensure fairness and independence in establishing our category winners.
