Nottingham BID and Nottingham Trent University have partnered to provide Carbon Literacy Training for Nottingham BID members.
As part of the Green Healthy City initiative, Nottingham BID is offering its members the opportunity to attend a fully funded Carbon Literacy training course in order for businesses to gain a solid awareness of climate change and to be motivated to create change within their home and work environments.
The online training sessions will be delivered by Nottingham Trent University and will give individuals the knowledge and tools to become ‘Green Champions’ within their business and introduce new ways to reduce carbon emissions and waste.
By successfully completing a minimum of 8 hours’ worth of Carbon Literacy training, learners will also be declared ‘Carbon Literate’ and receive a certificate issued by the nationally recognised Cooler Project.
We have to turn around all our organisations in the next decade to achieve a low carbon future - and indeed some might argue, a positive future at all. The Carbon Literacy Training provides the background to this claim and introduces the key concepts every manager needs to know about climate change, net zero and how to achieve a low carbon future.
The training is for you if you want:
The free online training will be delivered by the university’s Professor Petra Molthan-Hill and will give individuals the knowledge and tools to become ‘Green Champions’ within their businesses and introduce new ways to reduce carbon emissions and waste. You will learn the best high impact climate solutions to be embedded in your line of work - which could see financial benefits by reducing your company’s bills.
