As you are aware Nottingham Business Improvement District (BID) is a business led and business funded organisation.
During my time as chair, I have been keen that business led really does mean business led, which is why our board has always been made up of business leaders in their sectors.
I remain eternally grateful for the dedication and commitment displayed by each of the directors that I have the pleasure to share a place on the board with.
I would like to to take this opportunity to thank Nicola Tidy, Neil Fincham and Jess Barnett, all of whom have shown dedication to the improvement of Nottingham as a city and leadership, helping the BID achieve its objectives, and who have decided that the time is now right for them to step down from the board.
Therefore this means that the BID board is looking to replace these directors with individuals that bring real business experience and a commitment to making Nottingham a better place in which to live, work and study.
To date, Polly Reed of Junkyard Bars representing independents, Nick McDonald of Nottingham City Council and Lewis Evenden of John Lewis & Partners have shown an interest in taking on these roles. I therefore ask that if anyone wishes to stand against any of these candidates you email: firstname.lastname@example.org by 5pm on Friday 12th April 2019.
Jeff Allen, chairman of Nottingham BID
