Nottingham BID operates the Digital Radio System scheme across the city centre for its members who sign up to use the system. The scheme provides a secure link to the Police, CCTV cameras and the BID’s own Street Ambassador Team. This is a valuable tool for sharing information on incidents of crime, anti-social behaviour and potential offenders. There are currently over 100 radio users across the city centre.
Nottingham BID provides for its members the Database and Intranet for Safer Communities (DISC) system, which is a secure online information sharing system. This is to enable businesses across the city centre to report incidents and view the latest intelligence and exclusion notices in place at a time to suit them.
To ensure that people have an enjoyable experience when they visit the city of Nottingham, whether it be in the day or the evening, we don’t want them to have to worry about their safety or anti-social behaviour. Nottingham BID operates an Exclusion Notice Scheme, which excludes those who offend in one establishment from visiting all other establishments in the city centre. We believe this sends a strong zero tolerance message for the city of Nottingham.
Best Bar None (BBN) is a national scheme supported by the Home Office, which is designed to promote the responsible, effective management and operation of licensed premises.
