Reporting to Sponsorship, Events & Projects Manager

Job Function

This role provides sponsorship, event, and project (SEP) management support to the SEP Manager by leading and delivering allocated projects on time and on budget. This involves liaising with businesses and is about developing relationships with the relevant BID business sectors, ensuring that the targets are achieved and where possible exceeded. 

This role supports and champions the Nottingham BID mission statement and core values.

Some national travel may be required for operational and training purposes including very occasional overnight stays.  The company will meet the cost of any such travel.

KPI's

  1. NUMBER OF MEMBERS ENGAGED IN SEP EXCEEDS THAT OF EXPECTATION, WHICH WILL ALWAYS LOOK TO INCREASE ON YEAR PREVIOUS
  2. INCREASE IN FOOTFALL AND ECONOMIC VALUE INTO THE CITY THROUGH SEP
  3. BUSINESS / AUDIENCE SATISFACTION THROUGH SEP Net promoter score (NPS) of 7 or higher
  4. PROOF OF CONCERTED EFFORT TO MINIMISE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT THROUGH SEP
  5. PREPARE EVALUATIONS FOR REVIEW WITHIN THREE WEEKS OF SEP DELIVERY

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact on each allocated project, helping to build relationships with BID members and organisations, including the Universities.
  • Organise face-to-face meetings with participating businesses– not just relying on email
  • Prepare project plans that can be shared and used by all participating parties
  • Deliver a project from start to end including liaising with businesses, suppliers, marketing/communication teams, working groups and delivery partners to ensure projects are delivered according to the outline strategy 
  • Prepare and deliver communications along with other team members to ensure all relevant parties understand and know about the project – its aims and objectives
  • Prepare, manage, and deliver against KPI’S
  • Prepare reports pre and post-projects outlining objectives, budgetary requirements
  • Prepare, and manage costs, and purchase orders for each allocated project against the set budget 
  • Work directly with SEP Manager to ensure they are fully briefed to update the CEO
  • Deliver against the business objectives for each allocated project

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Good database skills.
  • Good understanding of the Nottingham business community.
  • Familiar with Nottingham city centre.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • IT Literate particularly in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent prioritisation and time management skills.
  • Ability to work on one’s own initiative, with communication of activities back to line manager.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to multi-task whilst maintaining high standards.
  • Flexible working including some out of hours.
  • Ability to work with professionalism, respect, and integrity at all times.
  • Willingness and ability to follow the operational procedures, as dictated by the company.
  • Innovative and creative.

Desirable:

  • Experience of CRM. 
  • Passionate about Nottingham.
  • Understanding of marketing.
  • Experience of working in the Nottingham office community and or/ University Graduate. 
  • Familiar with Nottingham businesses
  • Passionate about Independent Businesses
  • Experience organising networking events
